The first day of competing was epic! We scored some unreal conditions with 20 knot winds and waves up to 7 feet measured from the back! We all were having a blast and we all are stoked to be apart of this wave classic!

The island of Reunion reminds me so much of home, as the island is volcanic and has a lot of the same dirt, reef, and rocks. The mountains are green and high and there is much agriculture like sugar cane, papaya, and tobacco. Just as Maui the islands number one cash crop is Sugar Cane, so the sight when you look into the mountains is the same as in Maui with fields and small forests.
