Noosa Surf Festival Surf

Aloha,

Australia is an awesome place filled with great people who are energetic and fun. We have done so many great things since we have been here; visited the Steve Erwine Zoo and saw kangaroos, snakes, crocks, elephants, and koala bears for the first time for us Hawaiians, surfed with sharks almost every session, competed in a unreal event known to the whole country and even mattress surfed on a blow up air mattress in the middle of the surf line up.

Sam was an awesome host to us in her home country and took as around and introduced us to many unreal people. We also met a few locals that showed us around and hung out with us almost everyday. Cooper Lau is an unreal local surfer to Noosa and is Sean’s and my age. He took us to a few of his rugby games, one of which he was apart of, and showed us a bunch of killer spots. Sepa, Riggs, Connor, Sean, Kristy, Sam and I surfed everyday and also fit in much other things to the day and the night. It was an unreal trip in Australia and definitely not the last!

As for results we had some unreal finishes. Sepa, Sean, and Riggs made it into the second round, which was unreal. The SUP Pro wave division had 60 competitors, 6 of which were from Hawaii. There were 4 rounds before the finals, and I was one of the top competitors that made it through all four rounds and to the final. This was an unreal experience for me and as well everyone else. We were all blessed with unreal 2 meter and over waves the whole event. In the finals I finished 6th! This result was unreal but off course I am shooting for 1st next year!

Had a few problems with memory on my computer, so I will post a blog on Santa Cruz within the next week!

Aloha
