Bonaire July 17 and 18

Connor and I are so stoked to finally arrive to Bonaire after 3 days in the airport. We arrived at 12 in the afternoon yesterday and could not sail because there was no wind, so we went exploring.
Connor and I chased 3 foot, drove around the island with Greg and Beth Winkler (the family that we are staying with), we swam in the water, and we went to the sea salt factory.. Sea salt is imported all over the world (including Hawaii) from Bonaire. They pump salt water from the ocean into a mile long and wide and 3 foot deep patch, then they let the sun dry it out. after its dry they scrape it up and put it into piles. The piles of sea salt we saw were like 4 stories high, and the water that is in the patch is pink, not slightly pink but hot pink. Karen, Connors mom arrived later that night.
On our second day in Bonaire we Sailed all day long because the wind was up.. It is really beautiful here the water is as flat as can be and only like 3 feet deep and white white sand.

Tonight I will put some pictures of Connor and I at the beach windsurfing...

a iguana we got a picture of.  Beth Connor and I early this morning went up to the top of one of the highest mountains in Bonaire and got a good look of the island.

Oh ya and I forgot to put our unaccompanied minors prison picture on..
