June 8 - 9

I finally found a place were I can get some free wireless so now I have no excuse to not post blogs every other day..
Well we started the slalom world championships yesterday but today was the first day we got to compete.
We got had to get a area for the event and sign up and stuff like that.
Today was the first day of competing and Connor and I did good considering that we do not practice too much slalom in Maui and everyone here practices every day... haha
The scoring system is a little strange, there are 10 people in each heat and top five make it to the semi final, then there is 10 people in the semi final and top 5 make it to the winners final and bottom 5 make it to the losers final to determine 6 - ?..
there is 4 days of competing and the judges average all of your scores in the end, and you have one throw out day.
Connor got 6th in the first heat and didn't make it.. I got 5th and made it into the semi final, then I got 6 because I fell on the first mark cause of the crowd. I made it into the losers final and ended up going for it too hard, I went over the line before the start flag went up, so I automatically got last in that. Lesion learned and even though I did bad in the final I was the only person from the USA to make it into the final...
      Da island boys will stick with da Island boys (Bonaire in da Caribbean)                                                              the intro party was pretty lame, only fruit but the rest of the days will be pasta..

 We had to put out stickers on the day of the comp...  registration.....  Robby's brother, Randy Naish, Connor and I cut out 60 USA 52 and USA 333 for the event, luckily we met a really nice guy named Mike who owned a really nice surf shop called "Shaka"   from the cliff top

    Hi Honey;
    Congrats for making it into the Finals. Learn from your mistake of going over early and be ready to race smart and win for the next three days of competition.
    We are very proud of you and Connor.
    Enjoy every moment. Love, Mom and Dad
    PS Send our best to Randy Naish...

    I like your style, the fact that your site is a little bit different makes it so interesting, I get fed up of seeing same-old-same-old all of the time. I've just stumbled this page for you
