June 30th - July 4th Germany standing wave and Lake Garda Italy

The last few days I have searched for Internet and could not find any to post a blog or two! Although the last few days have actually beenfilled with action. On June 30th our friends who worked withstarboard showed us the only wave I have ever heard of that is in the middle ofa city! This is a wave that was created a long time ago when they made a bridgeover a river in the middle of Munich. We drove 40 minutes from our hotel inGermany after the North Sails distributors meeting was over to this wave. Wesurfed it for three days straight and by then all of the locals who surfed itknew us and was telling us we were the fastest learning river surfers they haveever seen. It is actually very different from normal surfing because there isso much water flow coming from in front of you. After we finished surfing thewave we had to start driving over to Italy witch is about a 400-kilometerdrive. We left on July 2nd to get four days of practice in lakeGarda before the world event starts on Monday. Our first day that we arrived tolake Garda it was late afternoon, we had to find our hotel and get situated. The next morning we put all of our sponsors stickers on our brand new SlalomNorth Sails, then we tested them out in the water along with different size finsand stuff like that. Now there is only one last thing I need to get in Italy, afishing pole so we can eat!

It is a lot harder and different than surfing..... Connor  By the end of our trip surfing the river connor and I were doing snaps, cutbacks, and little airs. Some of the locals we met... They said that we were the fastest leaning river surfers they have ever seen...   I hit my head on something...   Our hotel provided bikes, but I dont think they thought we were gonna pack them like this.....  We brought the bikes to Munich, a big city in Germany so we could ride around the city.     All of the Castels in the Austrian Alps

After the 5 hour drive across the Austrian Alps we finally arive to lake Garda
